Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) has established itself as among the best in technical education in the UP Technical University. It attracts the best students at admission time and the students attain merit positions in UPTU regularly.

The Placement record is exemplary with students finding jobs with organizations such as HCL, Infosys, Satyam, TCS, and Wipro etc.

GCET is now moving strongly into post graduate and Doctoral programmes and supporting faculty for carrying out their research. It has started M.Tech, Programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. About 10 doctoral students are registered with various faculty members. The Doctoral programme is gradually being extended to be an integral part of GCET. GCET gives high priority to impacting the community of which it is a member.

Knowledge dissemination is done in a variety of ways to this community. Many Faculty members of GCET have published books and research papers, and have delivered advanced courses in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science/ Information Technology to the faculty of other Institutes. For this, GCET collaborated with NASSCOM, Maritime Institute, Sun Microsystems, and Infosys etc. Innovative and creative work leading to new designs, products, processes and services is the bed rock of an engineering Institution.

GCET launched a project for the use of non-conventional sources of energy & developed technology to convert a 10hp diesel engine to run on LPG engine. This engine can be deployed for rural tasks and conversion of a diesel engine can be done on site in about 4 hours by a team of semi-skilled workers.
