Hostel Facility

In campus hostel facility has been provided for 334 boys. The hostel stretches to a built-up area of 8000 sqm. It has 110 rooms, a common room equipped with T.V. and other electronic gadgets; a modern Gymnasium supervised by trained instructor; facilities for indoor games like TT, Carom, and Chess etc. The campus hostel is surrounded by lush green lawns and play fields. Library and computer facilities are provided in the college campus till late hours to facilitate hostel students and students staying nearby. Hygienic and quality food prepared by professionally qualified cooks is provided to the students in the hostel canteen. A complete society building has been hired to accommodate 264 girl students nearby the college campus. A resident warden (a faculty) looks after the day to day issues of girl’s hostel, which has its common room, canteen, indoor games facilities and TV etc.

Health Care

Students Gymkhana

The co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are carried out by student’s gymkhana. The organization consists of:

Emphasis is laid on involving the students in co-curricular and extra curricular activities. These activities will provide a platform for the students to interact informally amongst themselves and with the faculty and thus release the pressure from their busy academic schedule. All the programs are planned and organized by various students committees with faculty advisors to assist them as and when needed. The activities include:

The students are deputed to participate in various State and All India level competitions in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The certificates, citations, medals and even cash prizes are awarded to the students who excel in the activities.

GCET students were awarded prizes in recognition of their being at the top of award list in Techkriti, 08 at IIT, Kanpur.

Inter disciplinary competitions were held in the campus for cricket, football, volley-ball, table tennis, badminton and chess wide participation of students, both boys and girls.

The institution has started the chapter of SPIC MACAY, Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth. It aims at inculcating amongst the youth the traditional values of Indian Heritage and Culture. World renowned artist come to the Campus and interact with the students through their art. In the past the institution had Lecture Demonstration (LEC-Dem) from Folk-lore Artist Wadali Bhandhu and Mysore Brothers (Karnatak Violin).

Book Store

At Galgotias we ensure that every student need is taken care of. Although, the campus is well equipped with all other major facilities we have taken upon us to provide them with stationary provisions as well. This bookstore is well furnished with latest editions of course books and reference books that a student can browse while in the comforts of his college.
