The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engg. is headed by Prof. Nandita Pradhan who has B.E. (Honors) degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. and M.E. (Communication Systems) from Govt. Engg., Jabalpur. She is pursing Ph. D. and her research topic is “Expert System development for Bio-medical Studies using MRI”. She has 18 years of research and teaching Experience. Her main areas of interest are Communication Systems, Bio-.medical Instrumentation, Signal Processing with applications in Image processing and Analog & Digital Electronics. She has 8 research publications in various International and national Conferences and Journals. She has also reviewed books on Signals and Systems from Mc-graw Hill Publications.

The department comprises of a strong group of highly qualified, diversified, motivated & competent members who are committed to provide quality education along with the development of talents and skills so as to help every student achieve his/her highest potential.  Mr. Ashish Srivastava, Associate professor is a Gold Medal recipient in his M.Tech. Programme. Many faculty members have memberships of various professional Societies like IETE, ISTE etc. The faculty members of EIE Deptt. are involved in various types of research activities, involved in attending various workshops, Seminars and Short term training programs. Faculty members have published 25 papers in various Conferences/ Journals in last three years.

The department provides education in multiple disciplines of electronics, instrumentation and control engineering. The course curriculum by giving stress on practicals, produce fully competent professionals who can face the challenges in the industry with innovative ideas. The unique feature of the Department is the encouragement it gives to student to work on Projects in thrust areas that include Biomedical Engg., Robotics and Image processing, microcontroller based Projects etc. Special mention of Projects undertaken in last two years are “Digital Water Marking of Images using MATLAB”, “Data Transfer between PCs through Lasers ”, “Fuzzy Controller Based Bottle Filling System”etc., need to be made.
