Dr. Suprakash Biswas, Director GCET, a Professor in Civil Engineering, did his BE in Civil engineering , ME in Applied Mechanics from Calcutta University and PhD from Structures from IIT Bombay. He has published 17 research papers in various National, International Journals and Conferences.

He has 22 years of overall experience out of which he spent around 5 years with top notch construction companies where he designed several buildings for State Bank of India, Reserve Bank of India, EDCIL, NABARD, DVC. During 17 years of teaching, he received high accolades for his dedication, sincerity and punctuality. He organized and attended various workshops and seminars. He guided 9 ME and 15 BE projects. He supervised one PhD research Scholar also.

His areas of interest include Finite Element Analysis of Structures and Seismic Analysis of High Rise Buildings.
