Our Department with the collaboration of ACES Society has organized a WEBINAR on “CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE AND FUTURISTIC APPROACH” by Mr. RAJKUMAR Sr. Architect. Our Speaker Mr. Rajkumar shared his great knowledge and his experience on the construction practices. Our students got to know more about many concepts and terms like Work Flow, Differential Materials used during the project, Techniques used during construction and in last some of the Futuristic Projects going on. In Material Section students will known about the basic idea about some materials like Wood, RCC, Steel, MUD so on. Attendees also come to know about the foundations like Pile Foundation,
Friction Pile, END Bearing etc., Also briefing the projects like SKY CITY, Rotating City and about XSEED 4000 City. He stated clearly about how the world is moving towards more sustainable and green construction practice in our day to day life.

The department of civil engineering and ACES club organized an international webinar on sustainable construction practice”.We invited Three Speakers for this international webinar Dr. Rajseh Goyal ,Professor and Dean, NICMAR Delhi , Mr. Aman Deep ,Charted engineer and Expert member of BIS Committee and Mr. Md. moizuddin ,structural engineer in Traid Oman Consultants International. The Topic of this Quiz is - "THE TWO EPIC TALES”, that helped us overcome the trauma of Lockdown". Many teams took part in quiz from all years and best one was rewarded with cash money. It is a very knowledge enriching session to the all the participants.
A donation is a gift for charity, humanitarian aid, or to benefit a cause. A donation may take various forms, including money, alms, services, or goods such as clothing, toys, food, or vehicles. A donation may satisfy medical needs such as blood or organs for transplant. Here our Civil Engineering Department students had come forth to donate clothes, shoes, food and the daily needs etc. to the needy poor peoples. We really proud for this service to the society and it will lead them to be a great leader. We congratulate those volunteers to do the service for the nation as well.
Panel discussions are excellent for addressing topic areas that are too complex for one individual to cover and they can provide a rich experience for the audience because each panellist brings their own perspective to the topic at hand. Ideally, the moderator can highlight those perspectives and stay focused on the agenda, enable each panellist to shine and keep it all compelling for the audience. Our department club members organised this event to get multiple viewpoints on the topic “Behaviour change in today's youth” at 20 February 2020.

The main significance of this festival lies in encouraging the goodwill and discouraging the bad will. Krishna Janmashtami is also celebrated for the togetherness. We ACES club celebrated the engineers day and organized Panel Discussion and plantation events.Many students took part in each events and showed their excellence in respective events.
Association of civil engineering students organized a panel discussion on the topic “Present Education System and Future of Engineers”. Our invited guests or panel members are student council of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology. Panel discussion provides a platform to talk or to presents thoughts on the topic which helps in better understanding and developing analytical skills.
During the panel discussion members of student council presented their ideas and thought over the topic. This event was attended by faculty members and students from all branches and found it very informative and knowledge enriching session.Final thoughts of panel discussion is there is need of changes in education system as world is changing rapidly.
As per academic calendar, clubs of various departments organizes their departmental fest every academic year. The following are the detail of few departmental fests held in year 2018-19:
Civil Engineering department organized an inter-college technical and cultural festival on 5thApril 2019. The fest started with Ganesh Vandana and various technical events like Bridge-mania, model making, concrete cube testing etc. were conducted. Cultural events like dance performance, singing, drama etc were also held. After the events, prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.
In India, there are five days declared as Martyrs' Day (at national level also known as Sarvodaya day). They are named in honor of those who are recognized as martyrs for the nation. Every year, on March 23, Martyr’s Day or Shaheed Diwas is observed in memory of three freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country. Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were hanged ll death on March 23, 1931, in Lahore jail by the colonial British. ACES Club organized a heartfelt homage for these warriors. Born on September 28, 1907 in Punjab in British India, Bhagat Singh is a well-known freedom fighter who was a revolutionary socialist and played a crucial role during the Indian freedom struggle. All faculty and students were present during the ceremony. HOD Mam also spoke a few words on the occasion and the sacrifice of the warriors. ‘Any sacrifice will be inadequate to accomplish the greatest aim of freeing the motherland’. Today is the day when these three great revolutionaries laid down their lives in their effort to achieve their goal ! Following the ideology of these warriors, we concluded the ceremony with the idea.
