Research Interests
Water treatment, remediation to toxic metals in drinking water, Clay, modification of clay using surfactant, Chitosan.
My thesis titled "Detection and extraction of toxic metal ions(As, Sb, V) from aqueous media using naturally occurring clay and their composites" at Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi.
Besides this, the application of biopolymer, Chitosan and its clay composites and globules in the field of improvement of water quality using various analytical instruments and techniques was also explored.
Area of Work
- Clay modification with various modifiers (including ecofriendly agent).
- Preparation of an economical and time-efficient adsorbent as a technique of renaissance for a toxic metal removal from the analyte affected water.
