2021-22
The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology organized an e-Quiz, “Brain Teaser” on World population day during June 11-12, 2021. The main objective of the quiz was to create an illuminating awareness for the masses.
2020-21
The Internal Complaint Committee at GCET has consistently been working for the all-inclusive development of students and spreading awareness amongst them on the various taboos present in the society. Hence, to bring out the oblique thoughts from the minds of students and feast the awareness about LGBTQ+ community so as to fight the prejudice and bias against them, an event was organized by ICC on June 25, 2021, in the Pride month. “MARCHING PRIDE” marked as an online march to fight the prejudice in which the participants were asked to share their views or experience related to LGBTQ+ community by sharing their posts or stories on social media platform/s.
The ICC, GCET has always been working on the holistic development of its students to become a responsible engineer who can think in the directions of providing remedies to the problems by designing a technology that is environment friendly. Hence, to bring out the veiled noble ideas from the minds of students, “AMALGAM ‘21”, a step towards refurbishment of ecosystem was organized by ICC on World environment Day, 2021. The theme of the event was inventively designed so as to sensitize the youth and divulge their potential to bring humanity out of the doming state of our ecosystem.
International Women’s Day, March 08, 2021 was a remarkable milestone at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida. The program “ANANTA” was conducted in association with District Administration, Gautam Buddh Nagar. The program was inaugurated by Chief Development Officer Shri Anil Kumar Singh, Hon’ble MLA Jewar Shri Dhirendra Singh and Hon’ble MLC Shrichand Sharma.
The ICC, GCET had been on toes creating sensitization amongst students that caters to the need of providing awareness and solution to the problems of all females including students so as to maintain a healthy and safe environment in the campus. Also, the period of “pandemic” and its associated “lockdown” has further degraded the mental health of not only adults but students as well at large. Keeping in view, many activities were conducted during the session so far including breathtaking discussion forum, workshop, etc.
2019-20
The ICC had conducted workshop on cyber security for women keeping in view the increasing cybercrime against women. Also, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology has been an active member of the S.H.O.R (Sexual Harassment Online Redressal) app, a pioneering platform of the District administration, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. We have always been a step ahead in keeping ourselves updated to the latest developments around us so as to leave no stone unturned to keep the campus as a safe place for all females.
2018-19
An interactive program was amongst the students of GCET to make the students self-sensitize of the role of women in society.

The gender equity is taken care of through the Internal Complaint Committee at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology that is highly active, vibrant and works for sensitization among female college students, faculty as well as non-teaching staff. The Committee takes up women’s issues and problems and aims at creating awareness of their rights and gender sensitization in all activities.
Keeping in view the role of youth in bringng revolutionary change to the society, an interactive program on “Women: A role model in building up of Society” was conducted on September 24, 2018 to provide a platform for students to share their views and help in creating a new wave of awareness amongst the youth under the mentorship of our Honorable Director, Dr V. K. Dwivedi.
The students from all branches took part in the interactive session to share their views and ideas about the importance of the role of women in building up of a society. The students came up with innovative thoughts of the role of women in making themselves as well as their next generation as independent, consistent learners, effective communicators, socially responsible, aware of their social and civic responsibilities, environmental consciousness and sensitive to gender issues with zero tolerance towards sexual harassment.
2017-18
A training session on “Self-Defense” was organized by ICC, GCET on the occasion of Women’s Day in association with Galgotias Martial Arts group for female faculties of Galgotias (GCET). One of the major components of the session was to address issues of violence against women through creating an enabling environment.

The ICC had organized a training session on “Self-Defense” on the occasion of Women’s Day in association with Galgotias Martial Arts group for female faculties of Galgotias (GCET).
One of the major components of the session was to address issues of violence against women through creating an enabling environment. The training was held in the campus which involved all self-defense activities and actions of martial arts. The different situations were depicted including purse snatching, chain snatching, kidnapping, etc. and their respective self-defense actions were demonstrated to the faculties.
The program also highlighted the issues of female stalking, and acid attacks.
Around 20 faculties attended the training and gave a huge positive response.
The cell decided to conduct more such interactive programs during the semester for strengthening and creating sensitization among female faculties.
Report on a session on “Police ki Paathshaala”
A “Police ki Paathshaala” was conducted in association with District police and Amar Ujala to bring awareness amongst all faculties and students about their whereabouts. The event was organized on January 01st 2018 in which SSP, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ms. Suniti addressed all faculties and students discussing the issues related to daily growth in crime and our safety.
The issues of violence against women, road rage, eve-teasing were some of the major components of session discussed.
After the address of SSP an interaction session was held with the audience in which different problems were shared by them and their remedies were provided by the SSP.
The program highlighted the issues of female stalking, acid attacks, domestic violence and any other related crime as well.
Overall, it proved to be a successful gathering and was appreciated by all.
Further conductance of such meet was encouraged.
