Galgotias College at SEMICON India 2024!

Today, a team from Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology had the exciting opportunity to participate in SEMICON India 2024! The team, led by Dr. Vikram Bali, Director, alongside Dr. Bipin Kumar Srivastava (DSW) and our enthusiastic students, engaged in this landmark event.

Event Highlights:

• Hon'ble PM Modi’s Vision: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event, emphasizing India’s strategic goal to become a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing. He highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting semiconductor production with up to 50% subsidies for setting up manufacturing facilities, attracting investments over Rs 1.5 trillion.

• Investment Opportunities: PM Modi urged global investors to seize the moment and invest in India, asserting that “The chips are never down for India” and the country is poised for significant growth in the semiconductor industry.

• Hon'ble CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state’s initiatives in IT, semiconductors and electronics manufacturing, showcasing UP’s role in advancing the sector.

• Hon'ble Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s Insights: Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw praised the progress of India's semiconductor mission, noting ongoing projects like Micron and Morigaon Tata units and the commitment to developing a skilled workforce.

The event showcased India's evolving role in the semiconductor landscape and provided valuable insights and networking opportunities for all participants.
