Research Interests

  • Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics: Research aims to understand a drug's absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (PK), and its effects on the body (PD).
  • Target Identification: Research explores how drugs modulate neurotransmitter activity, receptor function, and synaptic transmission.
  • Drug Safety: Clinical pharmacologists monitor for adverse drug reactions and minimize prescribing errors.
  • Natural Products: Research continues to identify potential therapeutic agents from plant, animal, and microbial sources.
  • Systems Neuropharmacology: This approach uses computational modeling to design drugs that act on multiple molecular targets to restore normal brain activity in complex conditions.
