On 20th July, 2024, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) hosted the "A Tree for Mother" campaign, in line with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University's (AKTU) guidelines. This tree plantation drive aimed to plant 600 saplings, fulfilling the target set for engineering institutes under AKTU's Tree Plantation Grand Scheme for 2024-25. The event engaged students, faculty, non-teaching staff, local residents, and farmers, with leadership from Director Dr. Vikram Bali and Dr. Bipin Kumar Srivastava (DSW). The initiative emphasized environmental conservation and community involvement, adhering to government guidelines. Records of the saplings planted were meticulously kept and reported, reflecting GCET's dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
