In order to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of our GEI employees, we are introducing a new award policy. This policy covers diverse categories and includes certificates, incentives and cash rewards as tokens of appreciation.
The awards will be given in the following categories:
FOR FACULTY MEMBERS:
Faculty Awards will be given each semester to the faculty members in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the areas of teaching, research and overall contribution. Faculty members who have completed more than one semester of teaching at GEI will be eligible to apply for these awards.
(a) ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD:
Faculty members whose students achieve an average of 60% or higher in external examinations without any backlogs will receive a cash prize of INR 10,000. If multiple faculty meet the award criteria for the same subject, the best among them will be awarded.
(b) RESEARCH INCENTIVE:
Faculty members with research papers, patents, funded projects, consultancies, books or book chapters under GEI affiliation will be recognized with cash prizes and certificates, following the research award policy.
FOR LAB/ADMIN STAFF MEMBERS:
In order to acknowledge the contribution of Lab/Admin Staff Members, we are introducing an award policy for them. The awards will be given on an annual basis to coincide with an event.
Lab/Admin Staff associated with departments, showcasing remarkable commitment to all departmental activities, exemplary conduct and minimal number of leaves during the academic year, will be awarded with cash prize of INR 2,500/- per department.
In acknowledgment of exceptional dedication, Admin Staff from departments such as Accounts, Registrar Office, Library and others, who have actively contributed with utmost commitment, displayed excellent conduct with minimal leaves throughout the academic year, will be awarded with cash prize of INR 2,500 per department.
FOR CLASS-IV EMPLOYEES:
To recognize their outstanding service and conduct, Class IV Employees (including Electricians, Carpenters, A/C Mechanics, Plumbers, Drivers, Office Assistants, Gardeners, Sweepers, Guards etc.) will be awarded. They will receive a cash prize of INR 2,000 per department.
This award policy will be effective from 1stAugust 2023.
