Innovative Teaching Practices

S.No. Name of the Innovations Description Name of the courses in which in Innovation introduced by the faculty
1. Presentation and Discussion Approach in Laboratories.
  • Students give a PowerPoint presentation on any one of the performed experiments and suggest ways for practical use of the experiment. Further, we discuss how the same objective can be achieved with a different experimental setup. Along with this virtual labs are also used by tweaking the parameters of the experiment for better understanding of the topic. By incorporating this method students are able to correlate experiments with the theory part and also able to understand practical use of the course.
  • Engineering Physics Lab
2. Project work approach in Laboratories.
  • Students collected samples of water from their particular area and tested the presence of hardness, alkalinity and chloride content in Chemistry Laboratory. Further they calculated the amount of impurities present in sample. With the help of these findings, they made aware the local people of particular areas about the impact of usage of water which has hardness, alkalinity and chloride content above permissible limit of potable water and also suggested them methods to improve quality of water. Finally, they submitted the report to concerned faculty members.
Engineering Chemistry Lab
3. Bulletin Board Presentation
  • Students unlock their communicative competence through Bulletin Board Presentation of their previous scientific knowledge. During Laboratory session these students merge their previous scientific knowledge with the current semester acquired engineering knowledge and simultaneously produce a hybrid Presentation. They also incorporate unique concepts for practical usage of the provided topics which are not easily accessible by any electronic/manual modes.
  • English Language Lab
4. Topic Wise NPTEL Video Lectures Sharing
  • Faculty members share the topic wise NPTEL video lecture link with the students. Also, faculty members use NPTEL video lecture as a comprehensive resource for professional development, gaining both subject-specific knowledge and pedagogical expertise.
